Cool blower. I like the electric chute control. What is that grinding sound I hear every time you stop and back up?

Ahhh, your a good man! Responded to the point and not to perceived insults. I want that electric chute control. Looking to buy a P1628E 28″ commercial model so I can give it to my son in 30 years when I buy a new one!
:)

See my comments above. I am VERY civic minded, and I always clear all the sidewalks and bus stops.
Everyone around me uses the service guys with the plow on the pickup trucks. They put ALL their snow on the street and block the sidewalks, where I normally blow it all onto the lawn.

Don’t get me started on civic mindedness…
;-)

I normally blow to the lawn on the right, but that day the wind was blowing right to left
Since they also hadn’t cleared the street snow away yet, I was blowing it onto the pile from the plow.
You should know though, that I ALWAYS clear all the sidewalks (50′ in either direction), and I cut a path through the snowbanks for the people at the bus stop so that people getting on/off the bus don’t have to step into the snow.
Not like contractors who push the snow and block the sidewalks/street

1st gear is generally very slow, for when you have 2-3′ of snow. I usually use 2nd or 3rd gear. This was probably 2nd

I have the 1524E model. I can’t remember exactly how much, but I think it was something around $1900 tax in. The place was out in Ile Perrot/Dorion somewhere. Very nice guy.

The Pro series is built like a tank. Much more rigid than cheaper units. There is no flex in the construction, handles, etc.

I personally love it, and think it was worth the money.

Were you in first gear going forward? Looks a little fast from here. Got the top of the line model I see. How much do they cost (I’m from quebec and might get the exact same modem next year to replace my 30 year old snowblower)

Thanks

Great snowthrower! Nothing like Simplicity. Now you just need to learn how to throw snow in both directions and not onto the sidewalk and street! Especially with the Electric chute control!!!

LOL!

Owned.

I winder if it might just a little more civic- minded NOT to blow the snow straight out onto the street and sidewalks? Or is that encourgaed in PC where there is so much snow?

Lol (kiddin’g ya mate)

As indicated in the Info & Settings on the video, I am located in Montreal QC, not Vancouver. I don’t think Vancouver gets this much snow. Buses look pretty much the same everywhere. But thanks for watching.

12 pnamed November 23, 2010 at 10:52 pm

You live in vancouve dont you? I saw the bus go by.

13 ironchefrick November 23, 2010 at 11:04 pm

Messy job snowblowing Mitch, Jessie can do better with his shovel. ;-)

14 blastermaster515 November 24, 2010 at 12:01 am

put the shoot straight up it looks cooler lol

15 Nyracch November 24, 2010 at 12:58 am

After years of shoveling, we got one ourselves. The Simplicity is quite a snowblower. It went through a foot of heavy snow with no problem!

16 paisteboy November 24, 2010 at 1:16 am

Nice Blower!

@ThreeBallz Good man for never selling it, I jump on any old briggs engines I can find (call me a briggs hoarder). They really are truly great engines, built tough and will be around forever

18 ThreeBallz November 24, 2010 at 2:09 am

@MDizzel16
I will try to remember to post an ANCIENT briggs and stratton sickle cutter. It starts on the first pull every time. I love this machine. It purrs like a kitten and people have offered money for it but i will never sell!

19 DamnStraightM35A2 November 24, 2010 at 2:22 am

@MDizzel16 Uhh, john deeres, cub cadets, gravelys, wheel horses all had kohlers and run fine.

My ’77 Gravely has a Kohler K301 and it burns no oil and has no problems….big briggs are not that great…

20 tscholent November 24, 2010 at 2:27 am

what I really like about the simps is the sound of the engine and the efficient way it moves the snow…

21 MDizzel16 November 24, 2010 at 2:27 am

@Titliest07 I haven’t had any higher HP ones, my highest one is my 6.5hp on my lawn mower that’s 10 years old and has seen 40+ lawns a week since I got it, they have proven themselves to me

22 Titliest07 November 24, 2010 at 2:38 am

@MDizzel16 the only reason you dont see a ton is because they didnt make as many. kohler and onan are higher end engines. i refuse to buy a tractor with any new engine or even an older briggs. dont get me wrong the smaller ones like 2-8 horse power are amazing but im not to keen on the higer hp ones

23 MDizzel16 November 24, 2010 at 2:40 am

@Titliest07 I disagree. I have a 1970′s edger with a briggs and it runs like a top, and you’ll see a lot of vids of old briggs still running strong……don’t see any of kohler =D

24 MrJlamb10 November 24, 2010 at 3:17 am

most annoying video. why didn’t you set the camera at the end of driveway instead of stopping every few feet?and when you got to the end of the driveway you don’t need to go 2 inches and stop and start, the motor is not doing to stall. Better job at the end though.

25 Titliest07 November 24, 2010 at 3:24 am

debatable….kohler and onan are really good

26 tomoboy1969 November 24, 2010 at 4:10 am

No engine could ever beat a Briggs & Stratton engine The best engine – EVER!!

27 camrb93 November 24, 2010 at 5:06 am

30 Titliest07 November 24, 2010 at 7:03 am

31 camrb93 November 24, 2010 at 7:25 am

@Titliest07 im gonna have to agree with yha on that one. i personally have a 11hp toro. she’s a real kicker when it comes to the meter high stuff!

32 Titliest07 November 24, 2010 at 8:01 am

33 camrb93 November 24, 2010 at 8:07 am

@Titliest07 o yeah that would make some sense. my neighbour just invested in a new blower. craftsmen’s ain’t to bad eh?

34 Titliest07 November 24, 2010 at 8:23 am

oh the good old metric system! we really havent gotten blasted yet because im on the coast

35 camrb93 November 24, 2010 at 8:38 am

@Titliest07 usually haha. up in orilla they were gettin around 10cm-15cm first snowfall eh?

36 Titliest07 November 24, 2010 at 8:59 am

depends, this wasnt a bad storm. but usually canada gets more than new england

37 camrb93 November 24, 2010 at 9:07 am

that don’t look like a lot of snow you got there…not sure where yha are but up here in canada we get a bit more eh?

38 1041990 November 24, 2010 at 9:12 am

oh.. cool, i don’t settle for cheap lowes shit either. i’d rather spend more cash at the time of purchase but have it last 2 or 3 times as long with less broken parts needing replaced

39 Titliest07 November 24, 2010 at 9:42 am

that IS why i bought it

40 1041990 November 24, 2010 at 10:09 am

Did ya know that’s a commercial snowblower?

41 JRCollinsfan November 24, 2010 at 10:44 am
